Not A Shelter

Not a Shelter was written in response to disturbing conditions witnessed inside a failing public shelter in Antalya, Turkey  where dogs were found living in squalor, struggling with untreated illness, contaminated water, and unsafe, overcrowded spaces.

This song gives voice to the voiceless.

It speaks of concrete floors instead of care, sickness instead of treatment, and neglect where protection should exist. But it is not just a song about suffering it is a call for accountability, transparency, and compassion.

Through raw, protest-driven lyrics and a chant-style chorus, Not a Shelter demands a simple truth:

Care must mean care.

Public shelters exist to protect animals, not warehouse them. When standards fall and suffering rises, silence is not an option.

This track is part of our ongoing advocacy to ensure that welfare standards are upheld and that every dog no matter where they are has the right to safety, medical care, and compassion.

Because neglect should never be normal.
And a shelter should never feel like a sentence.
